The 2016 Villeneuve Family Reunion was held at the Moose Creek Recreational Center on Sunday, July 31st, 2016.
The reunion committee met on Friday, August 26th, 2016 at the Jeff home in Cornwall, Ontario. The meeting was called to order at 7:35pm with 11 people representing the families. The Moose Creek Recreational Center venue was once again a complete success. I believe the new venue allowed a successful reunion, no matter what the weather. Big Thanks to Joshua, George, Ryan & his crew for preparing the site for the reunion. All in attendance agreed that the “In a Nutshell” was the best format to run the reunion with registration, the Memorial, the Food, the Entertainment all going smoothly, and the day flew right by. It was recommended that this format be used for future reunions, all agreed.

- The winner of the 50/50 draw was Rhonda Villeneuve from George’s clan.
- The winner of the painting draw was Marc Cardinal from Ernest’s clan.
- Albert’s clan (white) won the adult tug-o-war, while Sylvio’s clan (maroon) won for the kids.

Recommendations for Next Reunion:
- Have a memorial table located away from the stage, place candles in sheltered area away from wind, aquarium suggested.
- Renting “Dunk Tank” again as in the past
- Renting a “Bouncy Castle” for the little ones.
- Better control over the new cooking area (Andrea to coordinate in 2020)
- Get Ernest’s Clan more involved. (waste management, look at recycling versus garbage)(Supervise bouncy castle/dunk tank).
- Return of the shoe toss (adults & kids) versus 3 legged races.
Our next reunion will be Sunday, August 2nd, 2020 with the first planning meeting scheduled for Friday, October 25th, 2019 at Jeff’s house.
