2008 Reunion Highlights

The 2008 Villeneuve Family Reunion was held at George and Ronda’s on Sunday, August 3rd, 2008.

In Attendance

There was 411 people (down 5 persons from 2004) & a number of pets that attended.

  • Sylvio’s Clan (Maroon) with 96% attendance, only 2 clan members missed; possible 55.
  • Harvey’s Clan (green) with 93% attendance, only 9 members missed; possible 125.

The Day’s Highlights:

  • Food Consumed:
    • 60 pounds of curds
    • 54 dozen corn
    • 450 fish rolls
    • 450 hamburgers
    • 250 hot dogs
    • Countless beers including one empty tanker truck!
    • Jack Villeneuve was the only family member over 30 years of age to be on the dunk tank.
    • One hay wagon full of garbage

  • Bob Raymond & Steve Montcalm for selling 50/50 tickets.
  • Volunteers for selling painting tickets.
  • Johnny Villeneuve for the pot, tripod and wood for the corn
  • Raymond Villeneuve for the construction of baskets to cook all that corn.
  • Darlene MacGregor for getting the fish pond together, along with her volunteers.
  • Darlene MacGregor & family for the volleyball nets
  • Macewen for dunk tank & feed sacs needed for the races.
  • Jody & Monique Archambault with Roger Samson for the Paintball Tent Target Shoot.
  • Maurice Villeneuve’s Gang for corn preparations.
  • Victor, Albert & Leon’s Gang for fish preparations.
  • George & Albert’s Gang for hamburger & hotdog preparations.
  • St Albert for stainless steel fridge.
  • Bothy Brew for the soft drink & water cooler.
  • Maxville & District Lions Club for the hamburger grills.
  • Entertainment Committee – Darlene, Paul, Dale, & Roger just to name a few.
  • Andrea Villeneuve for storage baskets.
